Postpartum Doula

Yay! You have a new baby! Congratulations

I am here to mother the mother, so she can mother her baby.

Postpartum is a beautiful time and is so much more enjoyable with support during this transition (for every member of the family!)

Free consultation:

  • Get to know each other

  • Tell me your vision of your postpartum experience and my role as your doula

  • Share any needs or concerns you have

  • Go over my services and letter of agreement

Home visit:

  • Go over expectations (ex. when to contact me, dates and hours)

  • Create your postpartum plan

  • Show me around your home (there is no judgment for cleanliness or organization)

  • Introduce me to other members of your family

  • Receive my list of local resources and referrals

*Text, call, and email support from the time the Letter of Agreement is signed until our closure visit

Dayshift:

  • I will check in to see how you, Baby, and other family members are doing physically and emotionally

  • Process your birth with you

  • Share infant-soothing techniques

  • Provide newborn hygiene information

  • Provide education on typical newborn behavior and development

  • Help you build confidence in your intuition and capabilities as a mother

  • Give breastfeeding and/or bottle feeding support

  • Supervise Baby (and siblings) so you can shower, nap, or have “me” time

  • Perform light house cleaning and food preparation so you can focus on recovering and bonding with your baby

  • Any needed support for partner and older siblings

Nightshift:

  • If breastfeeding, I will bring the baby to your bed to nurse. When Baby is done, I can burp and change the baby so you can get right back to sleep

  • You can be asleep during my entire shift. I will log all infant care throughout my stay.

Closure visit:

  • We celebrate our time together and wish each other well. You can extend your contract or rehire me months down the road

The #1 complication during pregnancy and childbirth is a Postpartum Mood Disorder.

Mothers are at highest risk for postpartum suicide between 9 and 12 months.

Your baby doesn’t have to be a “newborn” for you to benefit from a postpartum doula.

You deserve love and support for as long as it is helpful for you and your family.
